New technologies to support social work with children and families

As a result of the establishment of a digital centre for social services, within 6 months we achieved 700 consultations (online); 100 virtual home visits; 40 group sessions (online) for approximately 500 users, including self-help groups for foster parents and prospective adoptive parents; training of 10 parents of children with developmental difficulties and disabilities; the possibility for users to choose how to receive services (in person or online) depending on the situation in the country; conducting group and individual supervision of the team. We extended support through SAC (specialized software), initially to 5 children with speech and language disorders or motor difficulties in terms of fine motor skills.

  • Digitalizing our services has allowed us to reach more people and created opportunities to distribute our services and social tools to more children in need.
